This is democracy in a nutshell: people are so anxious to vote but they don't even know why they're voting in the first place. It's all image politics. What's the point in letting uninformed people vote when we can have smart leaders take care of this on their own?
Ah, swamp trash, beach jocks and retired fat people... hahaha.
It's great to know that wherever you go, you'll get the same response. Excellent video, perhaps we'll put something together in Toronto when Canadian Elections roll around, we get the same responses:
- Ethnic Minorities and Homosexuals vote Liberal or N.D.P.
- Suburbanites and Aged-Whites vote conservative
- Hippies and University students vote Green...
It's all extremely formulaic... and I truly love the response I get from people when I tell them I don’t “exercise my freedom.”

i have to admit i am pretty uninformed as well with canadian politics. i was pondering voting for whoever i thought would do the worst job to speed up collapse...but then I realized that my vote wouldn't be recognized proportionally so it basically didn't count...so since no interesting fringe parties made the ballot I think I'll just make my own field on and put "Super-Intelligent Robot" just like in high school. who's with me? come on...if a bunch of us do it maybe they'll make an announcement about it or something hahahahahaha ha ha haaaa
It seems that much of the time, people are choosing the candidate they can most closely associate themselves with: blacks and young Generation-X'ers for Obama, or just the Democratic party; women, particularly the middle aged ones for Clinton; McCain for the aging white man.
Choose your favorite flavor of Kool-Aid, but in the end, all of the flavors are made of crude powdered chemicals that do more harm than good, and all of the profits from whichever one you buy go to the same company.
All of it is, indeed, image-based.
It's been the same since the era of televised debates, all the way back to Kennedy vs. Nixon. Kennedy won because he was the best-looking, very handsome and well-dressed, whereas Nixon's skin had an unsettling complexion and was not as youthful as his opponent.
"I dunno... uh... Change! Y'know!"

I think you mean
I think you mean "articulate" their choices.
There isn't much reasoned opinion to be expected from TV-viewing beach dwellers!
