(Lund, SWEDEN) - 12/11/07 - Amongst the hectic crowd of Christmas shoppers, a group of three CORRUPT activists went out in the central parts of Lund in Sweden to set up "End Democracy" bumper stickers at strategical places. Passers-by were able to take part of the short but provocative message that calls for an end to all populist regimes and corrupt systems of government.
Alex Birch, Editor of CORRUPT and one of those who defied the cold weather to take part of the activism, comments on the action:
- Democracy in Sweden has reduced our people to passive, individualistic zombies, caught between the liberal "Right" and the socialist "Left," both offering the same basic agenda of capitalism, pluralism, commercialism, welfare for parasites and a slow degeneration of our traditional culture. It's a virus; a smokescreen for the global elite to passify people, exploit the workers and send their companies to China. We have to oppose it now, because for every day that goes, this country is turning more and more violent, decadent and corrupt.
During a span of 4-5 hours, Birch and two other activists managed to put up over 100 stickers at doors, walls, traffic signs, pay automats and notice boards. Even the infamous college housing "Smålands Nation," populated by Communists, Socialists and Feminists, was paid a visit by the activists. Several Leftist posters were torn down during work and thrown in garbage bins.
As the winter darkness set in, the three activists shook hands and called it a day. Surprisingly, not a single person had disturbed their work or called them names. Maybe democracy makes people so passive that they don't even react when that same system is provoked or challenged? While the hypocrisy of the West grows deeper, CORRUPT will continue to resist its development and document its failings.

End Democracy
Great to see that this movement now spans two continents! It is of interest to note that for every such act that is made public, many more are left undocumented; sales of the U.S. version of the "End Democracy" sticker (available here: http://www.corrupt.org/act/merch) continue at a remarkable rate. With increasing episodes of insanity reported in mass media, it is becoming evident that the collective suicide of our society occurs without considerable contribution on our part (lest certains groups attempt to suggest that we are exacerbating mild circumstances--a scapegoat will only carry one so far!).
At first glance, our methods may appear unsound. Yet as we consider the burdening weight of ignorance, our acts are more than justified: we continue providing the means to an ancient symbolism, armed with little more than media pieces serving as portals to a higher dimension, in which the contrast between modernity and the timeless is made clear. And then, every forest, every performance of Beethoven, every act of resistance against the modernized West will stir to attention those endowed with keen perception and a disdain for trite lifestyles.
