Being a racist is hard; sometimes it seems that just about the whole world is dedicated to opposing you, and never shows any mercy. But finally there is some good news! My favorite progressive is getting tired of beating up on you, and is calling for the NFL to get rid of the Rooney rule which, in short, requires NFL teams to interview at least one minority candidate for certain job openings. He doesn't want to replace it with something that will result in more real job interviews for minority candidates instead of the sham interviews common today, but just plain get rid of it altogether. Easterbrook writes: "The rule did its job, and now can be retired."
Maybe this is the start of a trend. Maybe more and more progressives will decide that fighting racism is so twentieth-century and that you really don't even make a good punching bag anymore. You can hope so...
Regnen's "racism" in America's NFL
Blacks are an overwhemling majority in the NFL these days and for some time, especially in the most highly paid and fan followed positions. Whites are still cost effective in many line positions, and occasional other ones. But that's what it is. Cost effective.
Blacks aren't stronger but they are faster. And can jump higher. On average and at the extremes, but at the NFL extremes, that means all black running positions.
The quarterback position though is mostly about brainpower and passing ability. And leadership. Running is great too if he has it. But next up. This has tended to favor whites in this position especially since given their decided disadvantage now in all fast running positions, whites have tended to be funneled by their advisors very strongly here.
It's incredible the one high status position in American football that blacks don't dominate, quarterback (but are represented at) has for some time been considered by leftists to be obviously some sort of racist exculsion.
This stuff has GONE WAY TOO FAR.
Regnen, you should be ashamed of yourself.
Go stuff your ignorant British self.
