I saw these a few months ago.

I saw these a few months ago. I really enjoy the "Carl Sagan - 'A Glorious Dawn' ft Stephen Hawking (Cosmos Remixed)"

Me too

But I really liked this new bio-themed one!

Wuzzi line

Lovely Bhetti.

What I found most thought provoking was the Jane Goodall ape rowing the little canoe.

The ape couldn't have created that canoe - well they never did, did they? But that ape could row it.

There's also that kind of variation among human individuals, well, at a higher abstract thinking level.

Toolmaking

I couldn't make a computer myself from scratch, but I sure can use it.

A theoretical question my overactive imagination likes to ask me is what tools I could make myself if I was transported in time/space to somewhere with little technological advancement.

the dearth of canoe building ape societies

Yeah, me too. Or I used to ask myself that.

But we're mixing up two different things. One is specialization, division of labor and group efforts. The other is the basic horsepower of the species in question to combine to do something.

What I should have said above is::

"neither that ape nor groups of specialist apes could make that canoe -- well they never did."
