StatementThe Women's Portal is a way for women to be introduced to Corrupt.org since it focuses on issues of the site which are of particular relevance to women. In doing this, CORRUPT is hoping to increase the number of women readers and contributors. The organization shares the philosophy that everything in life ultimately requires the individual to act responsibly and to set themselves values and ideals that reflect Reality rather than taking for granted the values set by others.
Women are oppressed by a corrupt society which encourages us to spend our time slaving away for corporations and to spend the resulting money buying our identity. Society thus blinds us to our true potential as well as our natural path in life. In order to rediscover ourselves, to find peace and true happiness, we must break from the stranglehold of social, political and religious dogma. This is no easy task, as, in most cases, we have been conditioned since birth to believe-in and uphold certain values. But these values can and should be called into question. What motivates our belief in them? If it is fear (of authority, of rejection, of what other people think, etc.), complacency, or tradition (i.e. "because it's always been this way") then we must reassess ourselves.
We consider women to be different from men, and believe that women should
realize and focus on their individual strengths and abilities, rather
than struggle to imitate men, especially in typical male areas of expertise. Men have
to feel special and needed, while women should not feel pressured into
being "everything to everyone". Men and women think differently but need not be at odds with each other. When we think together by cooperating, we are both able to function at our best. What would be especially wonderful is if we can attract men and women to CORRUPT who will feel they have really found a community on the same mental wavelength, and that lasting relationships may be forged here with results in the real world.
