In July 2024, the VDARE Foundation was forced to suspend VDARE.com, and with the Editor role made obsolete, I was forced to resign. This happened because of the costs of the year after year "investigation" by New York State Attorney General Letitia James—despite the fact that VDARE.com had not been charged with, let alone convicted of, anything at all. This is widely regarded as a classic example of lawfare—the Left's weaponization of the legal system to crush political opposition.
