QuoteA neighbor across the hall from where the bodies were found noted that the smell of decomposition had been drifting out of the unit "for days."

"It would come in waves, and the maintenance would spray like an air freshener," the neighbor, who also asked not to be identified, recalled.

I ponder over the branding sometimes. People associate Modernity with technology, glamor, progress and a better life. They rarely think about the destructive philosophy behind which is Egalitariainism - not that this would change their mind about how great it is.
"Modernity is D.E.A.D" should become a slogan like "Gott is tot", but I find little videos like this more useful than any preaching about how egalitarianism is bad. It leaves people uncomfortable but NPR being NPR shies away from what needs to be said.

Send in aid and vaccination or birth control (both material and cultural/psycho-social)?
I'd go with the latter. Maybe they do need a bit of globalization on the screen.

The best birth control would be a cessation of Western aid. We are keeping the third world alive in unsustainable, low-quality populations that are to their detriment.
